Project Description
This yacht takes notions of comfort speed and practicality into a new dimension . The design flexibility and use of space reveal the wealth of experience invested in the singular project. MoonBlue’s interior arrangements emphasise quality detailing, space and privacy. Accommodation is provided for eight in four cabins, with crew quarters in the foc’sle. A sense of light is achieved with the use of tawa, a blond New Zealand native timber. Bold fabrics make for a zestful interior. Full advantage is taken of the centre cockpit configuration to provide the owner with an expansive suite, which includes ensuite shower and toilet. A gregarious yacht, MoonBlue caters to it’s visitors from a spacious galley with ample work surfaces and refrigeration. For extended cruising in the tropics, powerful air conditioning provides full climate control. And for an owner who must stay in touch with the markets at all times, a Satcom-M communications system is installed in the navigation/office area. Total integration of all aspects of the project is a hallmark of Warwick Yacht Design. No detail is left unexplored, no challenge left unresolved. With MoonBlue, this meant working closely with High Modulus, which undertook the engineering and material supply. Building in composites present special challenges and opportunities to enhance performance in speed, reliability, lower maintenance or high cost effectiveness. Yachting Developments under took the construction which comprises a foam core and kevlar laminate..
