Project Description
Patea meaning unencumbered, freed from burdens in Maori, New Zealand native language
The extended coachroof provides UV protection to the open cockpit below without the usual appendages of biminis and dodgers. This cockpit is only one step down from the aft deck and double steering stations with overhead skylights and twin folding tables and perimeter seating in comfort for 10. All weather enclosure is provided with side “nuclear clear” curtains.
A compact bar two steps down from the cockpit to port includes an aft facing TV, electric eye side sliding door at main saloon floor level and a servery level skylight to starboard over the stair below.
The Main Saloon provides the ideal place to escape too whilst still being able to enjoy unimpeded vision, from both sitting and standing.
The interior reflects quality, warmth and comfort, with light Oak flooring and contrasting dark American Walnut furnishings.
Ceiling skylights allow natural light to pour in and accentuate the spaciousness but the amount of light may easily be adjusted with controlled sun screens.
Patea’s Main Saloon provides a space that can be converted from an informal lounge by day to a spectacular entertaining wonderland by night.
Coffee tables to starboard raise and side slide together to form a large free standing dining table where six guests may enjoy a fine dining experience with cuisine prepared by the Chef.
A fully equipped bar to port can offer pre dinner drinks and canapés or be converted into a inboard steering station in inclement weather by simply folding over the counter top to reveal its large array of navigational equipment.
A unique light filled foyer with stairs leading to the Day Head and forward Guest State Cabin can be found on the starboard side opposite the bar. This feature allows natural light to filter deep within Patea’s interior, offering an ever changing atmosphere.
At the rear of the Main Saloon a stair case leads guests down to a spacious passageway where they can retreat to their beautifully appointed State Cabins.
This truly luxurious Master Stateroom features a king size bed and cosy couch along with an office area and ensuite. Providing a private retreat should it be desired
Spacious Aft Port Double Guest Stateroom and ensuite provides a haven of comfort and style for Patea’s guests.
Aft Starboard Guest Stateroom is designed to be arranged as two twins or easily converts to a double Stateroom, with its own ensuite.
The third multi-purpose Stateroom can be used either as a further double cabin, with ensuite facilities, or as a lounge/study area providing complete peace and quiet. Sumptuous leather sofas offer the perfect hideaway for reading a book or watching a movie on the huge 40” full HD screen
A comprehensive Crestron entertainment system and Bose surround sound system is conveniently located throughout Patea. There are touch screen control panels and iPod docks located in all guest cabins.
As well as a selection of large television screens (including three 40′ full HD TV screens) with local television coverage, blue-ray players are found in all cabins and the Main Saloon area.
There is even a pop up exterior 32″ television screen in the Cockpit area should guests wish to watch a movie under the starlit sky on a warm balmy evening.
Crew Quarters are located forward of the large Galley in two well-appointed cabins, each with their own ensuite.
A large well designed Galley is provided, incorporating a comprehensive selection of Miele equipment, which is required by any discerning Chef.
Patea’s Galley offers a spacious working environment at the heart of this vessel, making it both practical to work in but more importantly capable of delivering fine dining cuisine.
It truly is the envy of most Chefs.
A dining / sitting area is located on the starboard side, providing the crew with a much needed multipurpose area. This area can be used either as a recreational space or as the ships office as required.
The tender recess can be transformed into a relaxing sunbed / lounging area
Another innovative feature on the aft deck is a generous sunbed with life raft storage under. At night the sunbeds can be transformed into an informal alfresco dining area by simply lifting up the central portion which forms a table.
This provides a great place to watch the sunset with a refreshing drink in hand.
Her sleek and uncluttered deck gives plenty of space for relaxing and entertaining.
One of the many features aboard Patea is the large opening transom platform. This platform is highly popular with guests for swimming, diving and sunbathing.
It also provides a platform for guests to hop aboard the custom built 4m tender with ease allowing them to be whizzed away to a remote island or a fun packed day of wakeboarding, waterskiing, snorkelling or fishing.
The piece de resistance must certainly be the stern davits integrated into the edges of the hydraulic transom/boarding platform making the launching and retrieval of the tender the easiest of chores.
‘Patea’-tailor made to the demands of an exacting family for the joy of cruising and chartering in comfort.
Patea boasts a fully equipped Laundry normally found only on a much larger vessel
